Sarah & Nate’s New England Fall wedding was one of those days that makes me do a little happy dance as a visual storyteller.
Firstly, the couple was so beautiful and happy together. Secondly, every single detail was very well thought out and the day planned so perfectly. The day had a serene, relaxed, natural feel to it from start to finish. Again, happy dance!
The warm, crisp Fall weather shone on us all day long. It doesn’t get much better than that.
I met this couple through Anna & Josh whose wedding and cute little family I have had the pleasure of photographing over the years. Sarah is Josh’s sister. They are a special family to me, and now I have even more reasons to love this entire clan as we add to the rich texture, Sarah & Nate’s story. Both families cherish their time together, and photos mean a lot to all of them.
I loved all the tiny details of this classy, sweet couple. The cute flower girls and ring bearers, the simple yet elegant fall palette & details, the flow of the day, and especially Matty B – who was an amazing entertainer. It all just worked so perfectly together.
Check out this little film we made of their day set to the couples favorite music…
I’ll let the images tell the story…but there are lots of takeaways for any couple planning their own special day:
- Keep everything simple, but elegant. This couple didn’t overthink everything. They just picked a beautiful theme and chose creative people who can carry it out for her.
- Choose your priorities, then work with experts. Photos were very important to this couple because they knew they wanted a memorable heirloom recording of their entire day. So they hired us for the full day and we spent lots of time ahead of the day building the perfect photo timeline together. It was a true pleasure to have quality time with the bride alone and the couple together. You can see the results that happen when no one feels rushed!
- Enjoy your time together on the day as a couple, and enjoy all your friends and family. This sounds obvious and a given, right? But it takes a mental shift to just let it all go and truly soak in every moment of your day. Hold hands, hug, laugh, and seek out the hidden treasures of gathering family & friends. There is a magic that comes from planning your day, hiring the right people, then just melting into it the way these two did.
We feel so blessed to have been part of this wonderful couple’s day. Congratulations Sarah & Nate!
